About Us

The DeKalb Area Alano Club opened in August of 1990 with the goal of providing meeting space for 12 step programs and to provide opportunities for fellowship by members of 12 step programs as well as their family and friends.

In 1994, we moved our location to our current home: 312 E Taylor, DeKalb IL.
We have 19 meetings per week which include several 12 step programs and meeting types.

Annually, we host several Keep It Simple Suppers ( quick easy meals) holiday BBQ’s and two other large scale events. An annual Pork Roast to celebrate the Club’s Anniversary in August and a Holiday Party in December.

Our events are FREE to all. We can always use volunteers – please let us know if you are interested.
Our Board meets quarterly. All current members are encouraged to attend.

The DeKalb Area Alano Club welcomes EVERYONE. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation.

“The roads to recovery are many, and the resolution of alcoholism by any method should be a cause for celebration by AA members.” – Bill Wilson
